Abstract

This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study aims to determine the process of improving student learning outcomes in the Mathematics subject of Fractions in class III H. A. Thalib by using a game- based learning model at Alam Muara Bungo Elementary School. The model used in this study is the Kemmis and Taggrat model. This research was conducted during the second cycle, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. As for data collection techniques using test techniques, observation, interviews and documentation which aims to obtain data on student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study that: (1) teacher activity in cycle I was in the good category. In cycle II, there was an increase in the very good category. (2) student activity in cycle I was in the sufficient category, in cycle II in the good category, (3) the test results in cycle I were 66.66%, with 11 students completing. In cycle II there was an increase obtained by 100% with the number of students who completed 15 students. This shows that the students' learning completeness is classically in the complete category with a score of 85. The results of the study show that student learning outcomes in mathematics are low due to the inaccuracy of the learning model used. Implementation of the application of the game based learning model on simple fraction material can improve student learning outcomes in class III H. A. Thalib Alam Muara Bungo Elementary School.Keywords: Learning Outcomes; Fraction Material; Game Based Learning AbstrakPenelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika materi Pecahan di kelas III H. A. Thalib dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran game based learning di Sekolah Dasar Alam Muara Bungo. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Kemmis and Taggrat. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama II siklus setiap siklusnya terdiri dari 2 kali pertemuan. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh data hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa: (1) aktivitas guru pada siklus I dalam kategori baik. Pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan yaitu dengan kategori baik sekali. (2) aktivitas siswa pada siklus I dalam ketegori cukup, pada siklus II dengan kategori baik, (3) hasil tes pada siklus I diperoleh sebanyak 66,66%, dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 11 orang siswa. Pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan diperoleh sebanyak 100%dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas 15 orang siswa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal dalam kategori tuntas dengan nilai 85. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika rendah karena kurang tepatnya model pembelajaran yang digunakan. Pelaksanaan penerapan model game based learning pada materi pecahan sederhana dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dikelas III H.A. Thalib Sekolah Dasar Alam Muara Bungo.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar; Materi Pecahan; Game Based Learning
