An operative curriculum with 10 key ideas about energy to be built throughout schooling period

Abstract

Based on the current relevance of education on energy issues, and on the problems identified in the literature in the teaching and learning of this content, we expose the process of conceptualization and co-creation of an operational curriculum about energy, addressed to the entire primary and secondary school community. Within this operative curriculum, we focus on the 10 key ideas about energy, that deal with the different school disciplines related to energy. We also define a learning progression of these ideas throughout schooling period.
