Resistencias cotidianas en torno a la institucionalización del modelo neoliberal en las políticas educacionales: El caso de la docencia en Chile

Abstract

During the last decades, public education management has changed following a neoliberal agenda. This has radically changed the working scenario of teachers. Within this new working context, teachers have not responded according to expectations, making it difficult to put in motion policies aimed at improving the performance of teachers. This article presents the results of an analysis of daily practices of municipal teachers about the new labor regulations that stem out of the institutionalization of the neoliberal model in the educational system. Base on data produced during living interviews to teachers, we analyze and present some daily practices and resistances that coexist with professional practices as prescribed by the policy.
