Abstract

Four asphalts, produced by different methods, were separated into three fractions. The composition and chemical structure of these fractions were examined by means of molecular weight, elemental composition and 1H n.m.r. and infrared spectroscopy methods. Correlation between the asphalt production method and its chemical structure was found. © 1987.
