Abstract

GSVD-SLNR precoding and JD-SLNR precoding are two remarkable linear precoding schemes in downlink MU-MIMO systems. Both of them outperform the original SLNR precoding with considerable gains in terms of bit error rate. However, the relationship of such two schemes has not been investigated yet. In this letter, the equivalence of such two schemes is proved theoretically, and simulation results are given to support the view. The equivalence indicates that the performance improvement of GSVD-SLNR scheme over an original SLNR precoding attributes to the reduction of the gap between the SINRs of multiple data streams.
