Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the results of the analysis of the difficulty factor in learning the science of electricity concepts for class IX SMP in Pandeglang Regency. This research was motivated by the existence of learning difficulties experienced by students, causing a lack of satisfactory learning outcomes. The subjects in this study were 3 science teachers in class IX and 30 students in class IX. This research was carried out in junior high schools in Pandeglang Regency, namely SMPN 1 Cimanggu, SMPN 1 Sumur and SMPN 1 Cibaliung. This research was conducted in the academic year 2021-2022 odd semester. The results obtained in this study came from the results of questionnaires and interviews. The data obtained from this study indicate that the difficulty factor in learning the concept of electricity in junior high schools in Pandeglang Regency is the low understanding of the concept as much as 77.8%, mathematical ability as much as 83.4% and the ability to convert units as much as 78.0%
