Abstract
Three new species of Drymeia are described from Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet), China: Drymeia fimbricauda Xue, sp. n., Drymeia katepimeronipilosa Xue, sp. n. and Drymeia quadratimacula Xue, sp. n. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Shenyang Normal University. In addition, a generic diagnosis of Drymeia is given, and five species assigned to the genus Drymeia Meigen in Flies of China are transferred to the genus of Spilogona Schnabl. In the genus Drymeia, 48 species are now known from China. The effects of the uplift of the Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) Plateau on the structural diversity of Drymeia species are discussed. © Entomologica Fennica. 17 June 2009.
