Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: The objective of this review is to assess the effect of supplemental perioperative intravenous (IV) crystalloids on the risk of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in surgical patients. We will also assess whether the risks of PONV are affected by the timing of supplemental crystalloid administration or the volume of additional fluid provided.
