Abstract

noabstract The debate conducted in Alcohol & Alcoholism about the appropriate diagnosis and treatment of Wernicke-Korsakoff's syndrome (WK) has raised our interest, and we would like to add to it by sharing our clinical experience. Some recent publications about WK show that diagnostic and therapeutic mistakes are still common, even though the syndrome is known since long ago, has potentially fatal consequences and an effective, safe and cheap treatment.
