Cryosurgery untuk Terapi Warts

Abstract

Human papilloma humanus virus atau HPV adalah virus yang menyebabkan gangguan kulit warts. Kelainan ini banyak ditemui di seluruh dunia, diperkirakan hingga 30 persen anak dan dewasa muda dapat terinfeksi. Tampilan warts yang umum adalah papul kecil berwarna putih hingga merah muda. Lesi dapat tunggal atau berkelompok dengan permukaan kasar seperti duri. Hingga saat ini tidak terdapat antiviral spesifik untuk terapi HPV, terapi bersifat menghancurkan jaringan terinfeksi dan mengurangi replikasi virus. Cryosurgery atau bedah beku adalah salah satu alternatif terapi.   Warts, a skin disorder caused by human papilloma humanus virus or HPV, is a common skin disorder throughout the world; up to 30 percent of children and young adults can be infected. The most common appearance of warts is small white to pink papules. Lesion can be single or in groups with rough surface because of hyperkeratosis. There are no specific antiviral therapy, the available therapy are to destroy infected tissue and halts virus replication. Cryosurgery is an alternative therapy.
