Abstract

A new method for fabricating chirped fibre Bragg filters that are formed in fibre tapers is reported. The prototype filters are centred around 1.5312µm with a reflectivity of around 20% and reflection bandwidths of up to 2.9 nm. © 1993, The Institution of Electrical Engineers. All rights reserved.
