Abstract

Human brucellosis is a systemic disease that involves multiple organs and tissues concomitantly. In this case, we describe a patient with pancarditis and nephrotic syndrome requiring hemodialyses, which is an unusually fatal condition resulting from brucellosis. He was successfully treated with early aortic valve replacement and intensive medical therapy. © 2011 Informa Healthcare USA, Inc.
