Abstract

Islam is central to the formation of Malaysian foreign policy towards the Islamic world. Islam as the official religion of Malaysia enshrined in its constitution plays important role in shaping Malaysian foreign policy. Foreign policy plays an important role as tool in pursuing national interest in the realm of foreign relations. It is a manifestation of domestic policy and interplays in response to Malaysian foreign relations. It is also the instrument used by every sovereign country in pursuing its national interest at the international levels.
