Pergeseran Pemikiran Fiqih Muhammadiyah: Análisis Terhadap Kitab Fiqih Jilid III

Abstract

This study discusses the shifting of Muhammadiyah's fiqh thought from traditionalist to modernist styles related to the existence of the Book of Fiqh Volume III. The discussion is focused on the views of Muhammadiyah figures about the position of Fiqh Volume III in Muhammadiyah and changes in Muhammadiyah's fiqh thought afterwards. Research concludes that the volume III fiqh book is no longer known and has no position in Muhammadiyah as evidenced by the absence of a track record of this book in the main documents, libraries, and usability in Muhammadiyah's institutions. In the view of Muhammadiyah figures, when the Book of Fiqh Volume III was published, the preaching of Muhammadiyah was still focused on social and educational issues so that the thought of fiqh was still in a traditionalist style as commonly practiced by the Muslim community at that time. At that time, the founder of Muhammadiyah, Ahmad Dahlan had already begun the initial tajdid movement in the field of jurisprudence, but it was still very limited. After that, the change in fiqh thought took place gradually and was a manifestation of Muhammadiyah's characteristics as a tajdid movement, both in the form of purification and dynamism.
