This research arises from the problematization of information quality recognition by members of publication instances and access to content on produsage environments. From a semiotic perspective, it addresses the triple role gained by the user with the availability of possibilities that are typical of digital contexts: in addition to accessing information selected by others, the user also selects the information retrieved from online environments and becomes a potential source of information, producing and mediating content. Thus, the user frequently approaches the dynamics of appropriation, modification and republishing of information, adopting a behavior that we call anthropophagic. The research aimed at analyzing how produsage and information quality influence each other outlining the logics of publication, sharing and access to the content made available in blogs and on YouTube. Among the results, we highlighted the specificities of information quality recognition by the producers who publish and access such sites, emphasizing the importance of relational aspects, the convergence of formats, the multiplicity of actors as well as the perception of a double enunciation of the contents that are appropriated and republished by bloggers and owners of YouTube channels who add their own marks, in a process which is typically curatorial, without omitting the influences of tools and platforms adopted for publishing and used for elaborating content as well as for making sites viable as professional spaces.
