The purpose of this study is to determine the opinions of teachers working in first classrooms about the game and physical activities course. In the research the qualitative research pattern has been used. 44 first grade teachers in total working at Karakoçan and Kovancılar districts of Elazığ have participated in the research. In the research, data are gathered by using a questionnaire form constituted of open ended questions. In the questionnaire, questions related to the game and physical activities course have been established around the categories of "advantages of game and physical activities course", "opinions about the school books prepared for these course", "activities applied in game and physical activities course", "assessment and evaluation instruments used this course", "problems encountered in the game and physical activities course", and "proposed solutions to the problems". Descriptive analysis method has been used in the data analysis. According to the findings obtained, the teachers have stated that the advantages of the game and physical activities course are not suitable to the development of the students; that the school book of this course is not suitable with the level of the students; that they are rather using balancing movements as activity and that they are using the observation form in assessment and evaluation, that they are experiencing problems due to lack of equipment. Based on the findings coming out as a result of the research, recommendations such as; appropriate preparation of the school book of game and physical activities course in accordance with the levels of students would be useful, the provision of equipment to be used in game and physical activities course in schools, in service training directed to the curriculum of game and physical activities course for teachers have been put forward.
