Challenges for healthcare administration and delivery: integrating predictive and prescriptive modeling into personalized–precision healthcare

Abstract

We face many challenges as we integrate predictive modeling into personalized–precision healthcare. Some of these challenges raise questions for which we “do not have answers” at present. Nevertheless, we need to consider them and strategize to develop methods to find answers. There are likely many more challenges than we discuss below, but this list provides 11 concerns most on the minds of the authors of this book. Among these concerns are healthcare infrastructure, technology, and even at the most granular level who pays for gene sequencing of patients DNA.
