Abstract

The first 8 chapters of this book present the seed as a biological system and cover its origin, development, composition, function, performance and ultimate deterioration. The remaining 7 chapters deal with seed production, conditioning, evaluation and distribution. The book is aimed at advanced undergraduates and interested lay people.
