Abstract

Investment plays a significant role in economic development of any nation. It is the objective of every investment to get some positive return. Although there are numerous investment options but still people mostly invest in traditional investment avenues. The paper mainly focuses on investor perception about different investment avenues. The study sample consist of 200 respondents and convenient sampling technique was used. The study analyzed a relationship between Investment decision and the factors influencing such decisions like gender, age, earnings using multiple regression technique. The study found a positive correlation between selection of investment and gender, age and earnings. The study found that the majority of the people have shown interest to invest in bank deposits and followed by post office savings, Gold and share. The study suggested that it is necessary to educated people or investors about modern investments to get a better rate of return and improve the investments as well as to improve the economic growth rate.
