Abstract

Pain is a medical condition that is a top priority in therapy. Natural products are still in great demand as traditional medicines on the grounds that they have minimal side effects. Tangkur fern (Polypodium feei METT) has been widely used as traditional medicine. From various studies, it has been reported to have pharmacological activity, including as an analgesic-anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antihypeurisemic agent. In this study, the analgesic effect was tested using the wriggling method in mice with 0.7% acetic acid induction. The results confirmed that the ethanol extract and aqueous fraction had a significant analgesic effect (p= <0.05) against the control group. Pakis Tangkur root aqueous fraction 100 mg/kg is the dose that has the best analgesic effect, where the total amount of stretching is 71.5±1.28 with a decrease abdominal writhingpercentage of 81.18%.
