This paper is a synopsis of the genus Huberia which has been recently reviewed. It is a neotropical genus comprising 16 species that occur in the Brazilian Atlantic coast and in the Andean cordillera, from south Ecuador to northwest Peru. The author provides a description of the genus, a key, and nomenclatural types, synonymy, distribution, brief habitat descriptions, vernacular names, and a list specimens examined referring to each species. Taxonomic affinities of the species and systematic position of the genus are commented.
