Abstract

Accessibility refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people who experience disabilities. Users with accessibility needs depend on their libraries to provide them with accessible resources. However, for resources to be fully accessible, publishers, aggregators, and libraries need to have knowledge in this area to create and validate content and websites for accessibility. This article summarizes a presentation at the 2018 NASIG conference that reviewed the challenges aggregators, publishers, and librarians face in ensuring their resources are accessible and offered suggestions and solutions for those issues.
