Abstract

This study aims to describe student learning activities in thematic learning in class V Elementary School 66 Pontianak City. The study used a qualitative approach with the research method, namely the description method. The research participants were students of class V A, amounting to 13 students, class V B 15 students and teachers for class V A and V B. The research instrument was the researcher himself. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation. The data analysis technique is the Miles and Huberman model which includes four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study can be concluded that the active learning of students in thematic learning in class V Elementary School 66 Pontianak City is still low. And obtained several factors that affect student learning activity, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors include health / physical, attention, response and intelligence. External factors include the surrounding environment, completeness of facilities, friends and teachers.
