Abstract

In spite of the absence of any significant therapeutic acquisition in gastro-intestinal oncology in 1998, there is still more need for pre-therapeutic discussion between surgeons, endoscopists, oncologists and radiooncologists, for all digestive cancers. As long as possible, patients should be included in well designed study protocols and should benefit of the optimal surgical oncology.
