Anemia is a serious problem for pregnant women. According to WHO, anemia still occupies a percentage of 41.8% in the world. One of the changes in the physiology of pregnant women is the occurrence of haemodilution which causes the haemoglobin level in pregnant women to tend to be lower than that of woman in general. In addition, lack of nutritional intake, especially iron, is believed to be the main cause. To overcome this problem, the government is promoting a therapeutic strategy iron (Fe) tablets for pregnant women. Where the compliance of pregnant women is related to the mother's insight about the importance of using iron tablets during pregnancy. The purpose of this research was to understand the relationship between the knowledge of pregnant women and adherence to taking Fe tablets. This research is an analytical research, with a cross design Sectional. The total population is 40 respondents, the sampling technique namely total sampling. The research tool is a questionnaire. Variable The independent level of knowledge of pregnant women and the dependent variable is adherence in consuming Fe tablets. Data analysis used Chi-square statistical test. The conclusion from the Chi-square statistical test shows that the P value = 0.003 (P <0.05) It can be interpreted that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and maternal compliance pregnant in consuming Fe tablets at PMB Atika.
