Abstract

This research explores the importance of fostering harmonious relationships among churches in urban areas to enhance the effectiveness and impact of their collective services. As cities grow increasingly diverse and complex, the role of the Church as a unifying and transformative force becomes ever more vital. The study investigates the current state of inter-church relations, identifying challenges such as denominational divisions, competition, and a lack of coordination. It also highlights the shared values and common goals such as evangelism, discipleship, community service, and moral leadership that can serve as a foundation for unity. Using qualitative methods, including interviews, focus group discussions, and field observations among various church leaders and members, the research uncovers both obstacles and opportunities for collaboration. The findings reveal that while some churches operate in isolation, others are already building bridges through joint worship services, community outreach programs, and interfaith councils. The study concludes that intentional dialogue, mutual respect, and shared vision are key to building lasting unity among churches. It recommends structured partnerships, leadership training, and citywide spiritual initiatives as pathways to more effective and harmonious service delivery. This research contributes to the broader discourse on church unity and provides practical insights for fostering collaboration among Christian communities in urban contexts.
