Abstract

In this study, the draft genome sequences of two different carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii clinical strains isolated from the same blood culture sample of an Iranian patient were determined. The strain A. baumannii 554S harbouring bla oxa72 gene belonged to ST 307 whereas A. baumannii 554L carrying bla oxa23 gene belonged to ST 2. We found that this sample contains two different isolates of A. baumannii, each phenotypically and genetically different.
