Abstract

This study aims to describe the importance of integrating philosophical values in the free curriculum to build students' character in elementary schools. This study uses mixed methods (mixed methods) that combine literature studies and descriptive qualitative approaches. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews with teachers and observations in several elementary schools, as well as analysis of data sources, including scientific articles, books, and policy documents related to the philosophy of science and education. The results showed that the integration of the philosophy of science in learning not only enriches student learning experiences but also helps them shape critical, reflective, and empathetic attitudes. This finding is expected to contribute to the development of a more meaningful and effective basic education curriculum, as well as encourage collaboration between educators, parents, and the community in supporting the character education process.
