Abstract
The paper analyses a new group of Hungarian rural society, the creative female entrepreneurs in a rural sociology approach. The paper is based on a qualitative sociological research including 48 semi-structured interviews with creative female entrepreneurs such as female artisans, food producers and service providers. The focus of the analysis is the motivation in establishing a business. Three types of creative rural female entrepreneurs such as mompreneurs, careershifters and nostalgia entrepreneurs have been found by the application of the method for empirically grounded construction of typologies.
