Abstract

Scalp disorders are very common in general practice, and result in emotional stress in adult patients due to the associated social stigma. They occur as primary diseases of the scalp, as part of a generalised inflammatory skin disease, or as part of a systemic disease. In this article, a brief overview of clinical features, and treatment of some of these conditions, is provided. © Medpharm.
