The use of Haidinger's brushes in the study of stabilized retinal images

Abstract

The entopic phenomenon known as Haidinger's brushes has many advantages as a target for use in the study of stabilized retinal images. Methods of producing the brush pattern as well as a discussion of its principal characteristics are presented. Data are presented illustrating some of the variables which affect its clarity, appearance, and disappearance. © 1971 Psychonomic Society, Inc.
