Horizontal Spillover

Abstract

I describe in this chapter how some people attempt to enhance subjective well being by implementing a strategy referred to as horizontal spillover. Once this strategy is described in some detail, we will show how this strategy can be implemented, under what conditions, and how understanding the dynamics of this strategy can help us enhance our own quality of life.
