Abstract

In domestic cats, naturally acquired cytauxzoonosis, caused by Cytauxzoon felis, is almost universally fatal. However, it appears that some cats, for unknown reasons, will survive infection. Treatment has not yet been shown to be of any benefit in cats with cytauxzoonosis.
