Abstract

The paper gives an overview of 7 International projects which developed and introduced e-learning in medical physics. The projects specifically address training in the application of Quality Control and assessment of various equipment parameters (X-ray Imaging equipment, Nuclear Medicine equipment, Radiotherapy equipment, Ultrasound Imaging equipment, Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment), as well as the development of Professional Dictionary and Encyclopaedia of Medical Physics. The paper is based on the recently published e-book “The Pioneering of e-Learning” which gives for the first time an overview of all these projects as an interlinked activity of large scale. The experience of the team of elearning developers can be very useful for other professions, what is reflected in the c. 35,000 downloads of the e-book after its publication in 2015. The paper lists the main web sites including the described e-learning materials.
