HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN BAHAYA MEROKOK BAGI KESEHATAN DENGAN PERILAKU MEROKOK PADA REMAJA DI DESA PITU KECAMATAN TOBELO TENGAH

Abstract

This study aims to see the relationship between the level of the dangers of health smoking and the behavior of adolescents who smoke in Pitu Village, Central Tobelo District. This research method uses a correlational approach. The number of samples in this study were 74 respondents who were obtained using simple random sampling technique. The data was collected door-to-door using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The description of the danger level of smoking in Pitu Village is in the "sufficient knowledge" category (45.9%) and the smoking behavior is in the "heavy smoker" category (51.4%). The results obtained were p = 0.134 or there was no relationship between the level of danger of smoking and smoking behavior in Pitu Village, Tobelo Tengah District.
