Abstract

ResumenObjetivo identificar la correlación entre tabaquismo y atipias celulares cérvico-vaginales. Métodos se realizó citología exfoliativa cérvico-vaginal (papanicolaou) a 807 pacientes en el Laboratorio de Biología Celular de la Facultad de Medicina de la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla en el periodo comprendido entre marzo de 2011 y marzo de 2016, también se realizó interrogatorio ginecológico y se cuestionó sobre el hábito de fumar. Resultados de las 807 pacientes, 178 dieron positivo a tabaquismo, se reportaron algunas atipias celulares en sus resultados de citología. Se realizó una razón de momios dando como resultado 1.9 y probabilidad de 65% en fumadoras con atipias celulares tipos liebg y lieag. Conclusión esta toxicomanía es un factor predisponente en la aparición de atipias celulares cérvico-vaginales, debido a la gran cantidad de sustancias tóxicas y carcinogénicas que contiene el cigarro. SummaryObjective to identify the correlation between smoking and atypia cervix-vaginal cells. Methods it was performed an exfoliative cytology cervix-vaginal (pap) to 807 patients in the Laboratory of Cellular Biology of the Faculty of Medicine of the University Autonomous of Puebla between March of 2011 and March of 2016. It was also conducted gynecological interrogation and on the habit of smoking. Results of the 807 patients, 178 gave positive to smoking, some atypia cells were reported in the Cytology results. A reason of odds was made giving as result 1.9 and probability of 65% in smokers with atypia cell types liebg and lieag. Conclusion this drug addiction is a predisposing factor in the emergence of atypia cervix-vaginal cells, due to the large amount of toxic chemicals and carcinogens contained in cigarette.
