Abstract

Introduction: The management of information through ICT has generated an excessive use of it, which, although important data is transmitted from investigations and news, has also increased the spread of false or misleading messages, creating content without critical analysis being These few are assertive because the material consulted is not filtered for transmission; This is why, when talking about media and informational skills in UNIMINUTO (Bogotá, Colombia), the possibility of using emerging technologies such as Augmented Reality (A.R.) was analyzed, since it facilitates the integration of interactive digital content in the physical environment, thus favoring the learning process. Methodology: The method is a mixed descriptive type with a convenience sample, the study is aimed at 20 teachers and professionals in digital media and 80 postgraduate students and 20 young people who consume and create content on social networks in order to know the importance of Augmented Reality as a teaching resource and the existing needs and gaps in terms of media and informational skills in the cybernetic environment. Results: The results indicate that it is recognized that there is no adequate management of information and that it is transmitted without measuring consequences or verifying its origin, as well as, the use of augmented reality as a didactic resource and especially for learning in media skills is unknown. and informational. Conclusions: It is important to develop training strategies through mediation with emerging technologies for topics in competencies that lead to the good use of information, treatment and creation of information, so that it is transmitted in an objective, responsible and ethical manner.
