Abstract

To utilize the volume and carrying capacity to solve the low efficiency of truck loading, a loading planning was made by using optimization methods based on combinatorics. The mathematic model of goods loading was set up and a polynomial approximation algorithm was proposed according to the characteristics of the goods transportation. With the volume and load of the truck taken into consideration, this algorithm can converge at a satisfactory solution and has a good effect in application. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007.
