Abstract

The article discusses the impact of part-time work on women in Chile. It explores the lower labor participation rate and downward occupational movement for women who are into part-time employment. It also evaluates the adverse economic repercussions for part-time working women such as the lack of government social welfare programs, professional development and lower income.
