EFEK SPILLOVER DARI PENANAMAN MODAL ASING DAN KETERBUKAAN PERDAGANGAN TERHADAP EFISIENSI TEKNIS INDUSTRI MANUFAKTUR DI INDONESIA

Abstract

Trade openness and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) are drivers of development, especially in developing countries. However, most of the existing research on technical efficiency focuses only on spillovers from FDI, and ignores the spillover aspects of export-import activities in international trade. This study aims to fill this gap by analyzing the impact of export and import spillovers, as well as horizontal spillovers, on the technical efficiency of the Indonesian manufacturing sector using Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA). The findings reveal that export spillovers, FDI spillovers, absorptive capacity, presence of foreign firms, and firm scale positively affect technical efficiency.
