Abstract

The Franco government used the tourism during the early years of the dictatorship as an instrument of nationalist cultural politics and propaganda to legitimize the regime.The text, as part of a national catholic culture Falangist ideology, analyzes the tourism policy in its various manifestations, cultural, leisure, holiday, religious, nature, interior or coast, implemented since 1939 to 1956 and relates this tourist practice national territories and landscapes that are chosen to be visited by its relevance to the political interests of the moment. The method used is derived from the selection and interpretation of documentation and bibliographic text when analyzing aspects of politics, culture and tourism in the analyzed period.
