Trypanosomiasis (Surra) is one of diseases that has been an obstacle in the development of beef cattle in Barru regency South Sulawesi. Surra disease causes death and causes huge economic losses for farmers. The aim of the study was to analyze Surra disease incidence data by measuring the speed of distribution, were observing distribution of cases and mapping areas at risk of Surra disease during 2015-2017. The data on Surra cases was analyzed on this study that occurred from the Livestock Services Barru Regency in 2015-2017. Information relating to livestock management and ways to diagnose disease were obtained by in-depth interviews using questionnaires sent to Livestock Services Barru Regency. The results of the study showed that highest rate of the spread of Surra disease was in Mallusetasi Subdistrict with an average of 7 cases per 10000 head per year. The results also showed that the absence of cases in Pujananting Subdistrict was due to a lack of community participation in reporting cases of Surra. The high incidence rate needs more attention from the local government, such as optimizing of livestock traffic control, build a reporting system for Surra disease to increase public participation and to conduct the socialization to the community on a regular basis.
