Abstract

iMoD™ technology is the basis for a MEMS display that exploits optical interference. QUALCOMM MEMS Technologies (QMT) is engaged in a multi-front effort to commercialize iMoD displays. This paper will review the history of iMoD technology development to date, and discuss QMT's strategy, philosophy and transformation as it addresses the array of issues it must face to succeed.
