Abstract
The social emergency is a situation that favors social vulnerability processes and social risk, manifesting hidden insecurity and marginalization states. The social emergency situations happen unexpectedly, affect basic needs and require immediate responses, so it is necessary to have professionals with social work attitudes and emergency skills, as well as a system of social services and social protection to support their intervention. Care services to social emergencies are those services whose competence involves the social and comprehensive intervention situations generated by lack of protection generated by an unexpected social emergency. Social emergency care 24 hours service is proposed 365 days of the year in close coordination as a new resource in the city of Valencia.
