Abstract

Karyotype analysis of three varieties of Indian fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.) revealed that minute structural alteration of chromosomes associated with variation of 4C DNA content, genomic chromosome length and genomic chromosome volume has played an important role in establishment of new cultivated varieties. © 1989, Japan Mendel Society, International Society of Cytology.
