Abstract

Welding technology is a useful and common technology of the industry. Even though this process establishes unhealthy effects (smoke, heat, UV, or infrared radiation, etc.). About the welders' healthy and the environmental safety requirements the dangerous radiation area determination is very important. In this research, the authors use the literature data of the gas metal arc welding established UV radiation intensity like the effect of the different welding parameters and the effect of the distance from the UV source. The goal of the authors is to determine different safety level zones around the welder or welder robot as a function of the UV radiation intensity.
