Abstract

Highlights The prominence flexible supercapacitor compatible for powering wearable strain sensor is endorsed. The importance of tailoring the materials properties and their selection for designing both supercapacitor and strain sensor is highlighted. The significance of microminiaturization research in developing a supercapacitor compatible to strain sensors is highlighted. The challenges and also the scope in integrating both supercapacitor and strain sensor for wearable health monitoring device applications are discussed.
