Abstract

This article aims to identify contributions of the french philosopher Gaston Bachelard' work The Poetics of Space (1957), for Geography and for the study of tourism. At first it presents some aspects of the poetic work of the area with its main concepts and it points some contributions to this work for geography and tourism areas. This work opens new possibilities for looks from the perspective of geographic and tourism as it investigates the man, his thoughts, dreams and daydreams in space and place it built.
