Abstract

The importance of coronary care units cannot be ignored as coronary disease is the largest single cause of death in middle aged men. The number of deaths increases annually and more and more younger men are affected. Serious attempts to reverse this trend are minimal; so the problem is likely to increase further. It is therefore essential that the most efficient and appropriate methods of coronary care are adopted.
