Abstract
Teaching about geological hazards requires an integrated work on natural, man-made and induced hazards and oriented towards decision-making. We present and describe the application of a Case Study STEM activity where students configure and urbanize a geological relief. Students identify and quantify geological risk through mathematical indexs and propose technological measures to prevent the identified risks. The performance of students in scientific, technological and mathematical practices, their self-perception and their positioning on the importance of these practices in relation to daily and professional life are analyzed from a gender perspective. The didactic utility and possible ways to improve the proposal are discussed.
